Marty Stuart

Marty Stuart is country music’s renaissance man. He has scored six top-ten hits, one platinum and five gold albums, and four Grammy Awards. But his success proves the difficulty of gauging a career in charts alone. He has made lasting music as a front man and in collaboration with virtually every major roots music figure of his era, from Lester Flatt to Bob Dylan. He has evangelized for country music around the world, eulogized the departed legends of the field, and identified and encouraged talents of the future. Stuart has produced records for some of the most distinguished artists working today, and many famous names have chosen to record his songs. Stuart's energetic enthusiasm has gone outside music, yielding impressive work as a photographer, writer, collector and arts executive.

Jesse Dayton

Jesse Dayton's brand of country music has been labeled "turbo country", a nod to his rockabilly roots with the Road Kings and the Alamo Jets. Dayton was raised on a diet of blues, cajun and punk, but graduated into full-flown rockabilly with the Road Kings, the outfit he formed in the late 80s.  His 2004 album, Country Soul Brother, was an effective distillation of honky-tonk, rockabilly, soul and folk and even included an unlikely cover version of the Cars' "Just What I Needed". The following year Dayton was contacted by Rob Zombie to write songs for his new horror movie, The Devil's Rejects. The songs from the soundtrack, released on the faux greatest hits album Banjo & Sullivan: The Ultimate Collection 1972-1978, included honky-tonk delights such as "I'm Home Getting Hammered While She's Out Getting Nailed".  Dayton's latest release, "South Austin Sessions" (released March 7, 2006) draws a nod to some of his influences including Townes Van Zandt, Waylon Jennings, Jim Lauderdale and ZZ Top.  New for release in 2007 is his duets recording with fellow Austinite, Brennen Leigh.  It's titled "Holdin' Our Own" and is due for release in August.

Brennan Leigh

Brennen Leigh's influences are rooted in the deepest traditions of American music. With a commanding voice and an onstage presence that contradicts her years, Leigh brings new life to a familiar sound with vocal range, power, and maturity rarely found in a young Midwestern girl. Since starting her first band in Fargo-Moorhead, the college-aged Minnesotan has recorded two albums and shared the stage with the likes of Nickel Creek, Karl Shifflett, the Nashville Bluegrass Band, and Ralph Stanley. While an appearance on USA Network's "Nashville Star" gave her the chance to play her Weber Gallatin on national TV, Brennen Leigh describes a seven-date tour opening for Dr. Stanley and his Clinch Mountain Boys in 2004 as the highpoint of her musical career thus far.

Between her debut on Barking Dog Records and last year's follow-up, Brennen Leigh sings of heartbreak, loss, and true love; of prospectors, mountain men, outlaws, and trains.
